Feeling very fortunate at Branscombe Devon

Lunch then a walk to the beach and an ice cream made the most of a perfect autumn day. The blog will have to wait for a couple of days as we can’t afford to waste this weather. Who knows how many more such days we will have? Tomorrow we might visit Thomas Hardy’s cottage and garden before finishing the day at The Fox.

  1. Branscombe is one of my favourite places! I’m glad you enjoyed your visit there. I think you would both love the (tiny) city of Wells, if you haven’t already been. The Bishop’s Palace and gardens there are so beautiful!
    Best wishes, Beccy

  2. Thanks Beccy. We loved Branscombe so much we are taking our daughter and SIL there soon. As to the (tiny) city of Wells – “it’s on the list!” Do you know that Vicar’s Close in Wells is said to be the oldest continuously inhabited street in Europe? Cheers, Frankie
