We made it!!!

Two hours out of Heathrow after nineteen hours, here’s a good tip – choose airlines that don’t serve booze. Nobody else apparently wants to be stone cold sober in a large tin can flying at 600 kph. There are so few passengers that everyone who wants one has a full row of seats – including me. But not Jim – he has been sitting upright for 14 hours straight! Cabin crew made their own beds on seats around us and took turns to change into pyjamas and take a nap. For the first time ever on a plane I have slept pretty well. Who needs business class? I have my very own flatbed.
I wake up occasionally panicked about something I have forgotten. Most things don’t matter but I don’t remember putting in the bank token that I need to pay bills. Sorry if I owe you money. You might have to wait awhile…..

A few hours later we are warmly welcomed to Dorset by our hosts Jo and David. Home for Jim and Frankie’s Gap Year Adventure is as pretty, warm and welcoming as I remember from our “recce” last May. Can’t wait to get out and about but a shower and sleep is our first priority.
